From the first track "Pray For the Dead" the album crescendos in and uses such a tortured, melancholic melody to descend into its grooving doom riffing that it portrays almost exactly what it feels like to mourn the loss of a loved one, and yet it feels oddly comforting at its sentimental, uplifting chorus, truly making the most of despondency. A great stoner doom album from early pioneers of the sound!
