Pressing from 1989 on Mechanic Records / MCA in excellent condition. The fifth studio album from VOIVOD "Nothingface".

VOIVOD are a Canadian thrash band influenced by the NWOBHM, Hardcore and Progressive Rock. VOIVOD are easily identifiable by their use of unusual time signatures, dissonant guitar chords and lyrical themes influenced by post-apocalyptic literature, cold war politics and science fiction.

Voivod is something of a unique beast. While the band started off playing raw and primitive thrash with heavy punk leanings they quickly evolved into something more mature and began producing some of the most unique and innovative heavy metal to come out of the 80s. Even today we can't quite think of anything like "Dimension Hatross" or "Nothingface". These are experimental albums that don't just feel like a combination of different styles of music that they were influenced by, but more like Voivod was just doing their own unique thing that nobody else was really doing. Leaning heavily towards prog "Nothingface" strays from their tech thrash roots with an atmosphere that is "lighter" than the previous albums yet 100% Voivod. A great album from this eclectic Canadian band.
